AP Courses

Expand your knowledge for college credit.

Our advanced courses give students a collegiate advantage and an important academic challenge.
Our most gifted and dedicated students often find themselves ready for a deeper level of study and seek out the challenge of college-level work.
Darlington’s Advanced Placement courses provide opportunities for advanced specialized coursework and college credit. A score of 3 or higher (out of a possible 5) often means the student is eligible to receive college credit or waive required college courses in the subject covered by the AP exam.
At Darlington, all AP students take the AP Exam, whereas it's often optional at other schools. In 2024, 255 Darlington students took a total of 644 AP Exams, and 86 students were recognized as AP Scholars by The College Board, and Darlington was included on the College Board Honor Roll with a Platinum distinction. Five faculty members served as AP Readers.
