We know that students accomplish great things when curiosity is paired with the opportunity to explore. That’s why Darlington created a
pathway for seniors to take a deep dive into a topic of their choosing and/or solve a real-world problem in a meaningful way.
Senior Ventures is a year-long academic program built on a framework of leadership, innovation and community engagement. Through a proven
self-guided exploratory process, seniors whose proposals are selected for this program work independently to develop a project that’s
interdisciplinary in scope and is connective, performance-based, investigative, or entrepreneurial.
What is the value of participating in Senior Ventures?
The design-thinking process is put into action and participants have a unique opportunity to tangibly demonstrate their commitment
to skill development, project management, and deep experiential learning.
Participants are matched with mentors who guide them through the process, fostering effective communication skills and providing
real-life experience in a field of their choosing.
By developing blogs, podcasts, community events, or lectures, participants share with our school community the skills and knowledge
they have gained, fostering a culture of collaboration and curiosity.
