It is almost November and campus is getting cooler. For some students, I hear “it is freezing.” From others, I hear “this isn’t cold.” The connections with students from different parts of the country and the world are fun to watch. In either case, I will stick to the fact that campus is cooler today than it was three weeks ago. But in Georgia, that could change from day to day!
November brings a month of thankfulness, gratitude and appreciation. I am thankful for the opportunity to watch students and teachers work together to grow, even when those times can be challenging. I am grateful for all the students and teachers at Darlington doing great work for the fall play, fall athletics, and service beyond self. I appreciate the little things like when a student smiles and tells me good morning.
After a busy October, the end of November brings a brief break before the last three weeks of the first semester. I hope you and your family find time for rest during the Thanksgiving break!
