I recently had the opportunity to go to the Future of Education Technology Conference (FETC) in Orlando, Florida, thanks to the Thatcher Faculty Development Grant.

Last summer, thanks to the generosity of Darlington and the Thatcher Faculty Professional Development Grant, I was able to travel to George Mason University in Fairfax, Va. to complete the first level of the Orff Schulwerk, a process for teaching music based on a whole-body approach.

Students in grades 3-8 will take the stage this weekend in the fine arts department's production of "Schoolhouse Rock Live! JR." at the Ledbetter Commons in Thatcher Hall, April 29-30. Performances will take place on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m., and on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.

Darlington students in grades 4-8 and their families packed the Black Box Theatre over the weekend with the fine arts department's presentation of "Seussical Jr." Fine arts students performed in two evening shows and one matinee on Friday and Saturday.
