Tim Garrett

Previous Background
Tim has taught science at Darlington since 1994 and, in 2012, was named head varsity boys’ basketball coach after serving as an assistant coach for many years. He holds a B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science from Emory University and an M.Ed. from Lesley University. While at Emory, Tim was a four-year All-Region team selection who was twice named UAA Player of the Year. He still holds several career records at Emory, including leading scorer and rebounder. A graduate of East Rome High School, Tim earned numerous accolades like Region Player of the Year, First Team All-Region and First Team All-State while helping his team maintain elite state rankings. He and his wife Rosalyn have two daughters, Kelsey (’17) and Kennedy (’23). He is also the father of Tylon (’10) and Aaron.
