Darlington’s sixth-graders visited the Michael C. Carlos Museum at Emory University this week for a highlight tour. During their visit, they explored artifacts from ancient civilizations like Egypt, Greece, Rome, and the Near East while a guide explained the historical significance of key objects such as mummies, sculptures, and pottery. Students participated in discussions, asked questions and connected what they saw to topics they’ve been studying in class. The trip provided an engaging overview of the museum’s most important collections and brought their learning to life.
