Middle school varsity baseball players had the opportunity to spend an afternoon working with Coach Eberhart’s 10U baseball team, creating a meaningful and engaging experience for everyone involved. Each older player was paired with a younger athlete, allowing them to focus on specific skills that the child needed to develop. While the goal was for the older players to guide and support the younger ones, it quickly became clear that they were just as excited—if not more—to take on this mentorship role. They enjoyed building connections, sharing their knowledge, and helping boost the younger players’ confidence. In many of the pictures, you can see these moments in action, with older players working closely on pitching, catching, and even leading drills and exercises. The experience not only helped the younger athletes grow, but also gave the older players a sense of pride and fulfillment in helping others improve.
