Our fifth-grade class celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with some “Mathematically Delicious Fun” using Lucky Charms cereal! Students dove into hands-on learning by sorting and counting the colorful marshmallows, then used their data to find the mean, median, mode, and range. Laughter and excitement filled the room as math came to life in such a fun (and tasty!) way. To take it a step further, we combined everyone’s results to analyze class-wide data, allowing students to compare findings, spot patterns, and make meaningful connections together. It was the perfect blend of celebration and learning!
