Fourth grade took their annual trip to the Georgia State Capitol Building and Georgia Supreme Court Building as part of their Georgia Studies. Ms. Watterson and Dr. Natarella took 42 students on a grand tour led by Rep. Katie Dempsey and Justice John Ellington.
Fourth-grader Jack Stone's father, Ryals Stone, and Emmett Miller's mother, Anna Miller, helped to coordinate and explore the historical connections of all the places on our tour. Students got a behind-the-scenes view of the House Chambers and the Georgia Supreme Court, and even got to enjoy pizza provided by Rep. Dempsey in one of the committee rooms!
