Let’s get to know Caroline Roberts, a five-year day student from Rome who wants to be an elementary school teacher.
When you think of Darlington, what three words come to mind first?
Growth, achievement, friendship
What song reminds you of high school?
"Country Boy’s World” by Jason Aldean
What's your favorite show to binge watch?
I like binge watching any documentary.
What's your favorite restaurant in Rome?
Blue Fin
What house are you a member of?
Cooper House
What are you involved in?
I was involved in varsity volleyball my freshman, sophomore, and junior years.
If you play sports, who is your favorite coach and why?
My favorite coach was E.J. Hunt. Although E.J. did not work as a coach at Darlington, he helped out during practices which really helped the team out. E.J. was also my travel ball coach, so I got him during school and travel season!
What's your favorite place on campus and why?
My favorite place on campus is the Student Center because it is a place for all students to come together and socialize.
Who's your favorite teacher and why?
My favorite teacher is Mr. Bourg because he makes me laugh and is always so welcoming when I walk in the room.
What’s your favorite thing about Darlington?
My favorite thing about Darlington is the option of free periods. Free periods are very helpful to study or get rest if you stayed up late studying the night before.
Describe an experience that you've had at Darlington that you couldn't have had anywhere else.
One of the best experiences I have had at Darlington is being a part of a team. Being on the volleyball team allowed me to gain knowledge on leadership, have discipline on and off the court, and make strong connections.
What are some of the ways you've grown since you first came to Darlington?
Since I have been at Darlington, I have gained skills such as time management, communication and confidence in facing new challenges.
What is your dream job?
My dream job is being an elementary teacher.
