We want to introduce "GR8 Girls" to campus. It is a group of girls that is dedicated to helping our young women grow up and be their best selves as they transition to Darlington's Upper School division.
In the first-year house, we hope to give each resident a strong beginning. However, our job is not complete until we guide each girl to an epic finish.
Living in the first-year house/dorm means a year full of "firsts." From their first day of school to their first load of laundry, these shared experiences make the first-year house their foundation for the future.
Head of Cooper House Jill Babb, head resident prefect Kia Sims ('14), and head day prefect Mary Grayson Spence ('14) describe the duties of a head prefect, and how team spirit and student leadership led to the first-ever RUMPUS win for the first-year girls' dormitory in 2014.
RUMPUS is an annual weekend-long competition between day and resident students and faculty in Darlington's six campus houses.
