This summer, I joined two dozen other physics geeks, also known as seasoned high school physics teachers, at LIGO’s International Physics and Astronomy Program for Educators. Our goal: Learn about modern physics and astronomy and practice lessons that bring these topics alive in our classrooms.
Thanks to the Wood Grant last year I attended a two week workshop to learn to teach mechanics by the Modeling Method and last year was my first-year practicing modeling instruction.
Barbara Kuckhoff will teach physics at the Upper School. No stranger to Darlington, she and her husband, Eric, are the parents of Thomas ('09), Robert ('12) and Katie.
