The 4th Grade Band has really enjoyed our winter season. During this time, the group has been able to "spread-out" and cover their first five notes more thoroughly. We have studied melodies that move by scale and others that move by leap. Every member of this young band has done a nice job taking responsibility for their own musicianship. Band members often play by themselves for the class, and they recently had their first experience playing duets. Each pair performed two-part harmony, with both players having a chance to perform both parts. This band is the newest addition to our Darlington band program, and they are off to a very successful start. We look forward to hearing many great sounds from these Talented Tigers!
