Third, fourth, and fifth grades kicked off the year with an exciting space-themed Exploratory day. The day included dropping parachutes toward targets, making and launching straw rockets, outer space themed bingo, and sponge-painting galaxies. U.S. Navy pilot and Darlington dad Commander Robert Hortman ('99, LD '18) was our guest speaker. He discussed how parachutes work and his experience as a pilot. The day ended with awesome rocket launches and a space themed snack - Rocket Pops!
