I am a member of the Senior Ventures class and my project focuses on service learning and making service a transformative experience. One way I plan to express this is through an event that will be held on Feb. 28 titled Pink Shirt Day, which focuses on sharing sentiments of anti-bullying and self-love. Today, I hosted an anti-bullying panel discussion that included Russell Evans ('03), Jonathan Gilreath-Harvey ('07), Janie Hortman ('03), Emma Chen ('24), Orafiri Koko ('24), and Atlas Kosedag ('23). I would like to thank Izzy Hortman ('08), chair of Campus Connects (a committee of the Alumni Council), and Vicki Vincent, director of alumni relations, for assisting with the planning of this event. Please plan to join us for Pink Shirt Day in the McCallie-Kennedy Center on Wednesday, Feb. 28, from 1:20 to 2 p.m. There will be a variety of fun activites focusing on the themes of anit-bullying and self-love.
