Students on the 3-5 hallway were treated to an annual surprise "snow day" designed by their homeroom and enrichment teachers! The students participated in an indoor "snowball" fight in the Ledbetter Commons, constructed 3D snowflakes, and enjoyed enrichment fun from their Spanish, art, music and strings teachers. They had a STEM challenge where they partnered up to construct snow skiers out of aluminum foil and popsicle sticks and then raced them down hallway table slopes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishes. Students also took on the Igloo Coding Challenge to create their own snowy winter projects using the Tynker app on their iPads and they wrapped up their day with recess and making homemade snow cream in the courtyard.
