Third-graders identified the main idea and supporting details of a text when we read "Stand Tall, Molly Lou Melon" by Patty Lovell. It is important that readers know what the text is about, as well as the text evidence that supports the main idea. We completed a graphic organizer "table" with the main idea and supporting details from the story.
