After reading the book, "Be a Perfect Person in Just Three Days" by Stephen Manes, our third-graders wore "broccoli" tied around their necks all day just as main character, Milo Crinkley, did in the story. Students did this to demonstrate that they are fearless! From this story, they learned that nobody's perfect but they can have courage and determination and that it's best to just be ourselves.
