Mr. Merriam joined the second-graders for some Christmas science fun! Together, students had fun creating glitter slime using glue and borax. In addition, they molded different fun shapes out of pipe cleaners. These shapes were then dipped into a solution of borax and hot water. Over time, these soon to be ornaments began to crystallize. Both projects allowed the children to learn about solutions, be involved in creating the projects, and ultimately bring both home to enjoy.
