Day #SeniorSpotlight: Harrison Inman

Maddie Chastain | May 4, 2026 | 4 views

A Darlington student is made up of many things. None of which is average. We help our students develop their interests, passions and pursuits, because we believe every individual has something to contribute. We also believe that only when you're 100% you, are you 100% Darlington.

Here at Darlington, every student’s path is different. We think that's a good thing.

Let’s get to know Harrison Inman, a nine-year day student from Rome who shares his passion for the arts and athletics with younger students through his Senior Ventures project, the Creative Athlete.

When you think of Darlington, what three words come to mind first?
Home, Growth, and Helpful

What song reminds you of high school?
"In The Air Tonight" by Phil Collins

What's your favorite show to binge watch?
“Peaky Blinders”

What's your favorite restaurant in Rome?
Las Palmas

What house are you a member of?
Neville

What are you involved in?
Neville House Leadership, Discipline Committee, Y-cabinet, Student Activities Committee, Arts Council, Random Notes Member, Concert Choir President, Actor, Football Player, and Thrower for Track and Field.

If you play sports, who is your favorite coach and why?
Coach Guth because during football in middle school and right now during throwing practice he always does his best to make sure we know what we are doing as well as make sure we are enjoying the experience.

If you are involved in fine arts, what is your favorite activity and why?
Acting on stage in the musicals because when you finally reach a point where you can just be on stage and act without even noticing anything around and really be your role, it feels really relaxing. When you do well in a song/scene you feel accomplished for how you have grown and the achievements you have made.

What's your favorite place on campus and why?
The Student Center because it is a great place to hang out with friends and relax; but, also get help from tutors or other faculty if you need it.

Who's your favorite teacher and why?
Mr. Hudson because he made sure to teach in a way that we could understand as well as making it fun and just how enthusiastic he was really helped to make the class interesting even for students who were not interested in the topics.

What’s your favorite thing about Darlington?
How our community is so diverse and allows you to learn so much about the world.

Describe an experience that you've had at Darlington that you couldn't have had anywhere else.
The International Fair because seeing every culture at school being celebrated in a setting where everyone can appreciate it is really special.

What are some of the ways you've grown since you first came to Darlington?
I come to be more supportive and try to listen to my friends more to help them with their needs any way I can.

What is your dream job?
Being an Ambassador in a foreign country.

If you have already committed to a college, please let us know which one you will be attending.
Hampden-Sydney College
