Let’s get to know Aryana Patel, a 14-year day student from Cartersville, Ga., who serves as captain of the varsity soccer team and dorm leader in Regester House.

“Gossip Girl”

What house are you a member of?
Regester House
What are you involved in?
I am a Regester dorm leader, four-year soccer player and captain this year, Spanish Club vice president, HOSA treasurer, Advancement Ambassador, and a Student Activities Committee member and secretary this year.
If you play sports, who is your favorite coach and why?
Coach Shorey is my favorite coach because he has always encouraged me to be a better player and teammate while also keeping a good attitude and improving my skills.
If you are involved in fine arts, what is your favorite activity and why?
Art has been my favorite fine arts activity because I built creativity, and it has challenged me to think differently.
What's your favorite place on campus and why?
Student Center and The Cove because I get to hang out with my friends while also being outside when it's warmer.
Who's your favorite teacher and why?
Mr. Hudson because he always teaches his material with passion and makes his classes engaging for his students.
What’s your favorite thing about Darlington?
My favorite thing about Darlington is that it is a boarding school where I can meet new people and explore new cultures.
Describe an experience that you've had at Darlington that you couldn't have had anywhere else.
An experience that I have had at Darlington that I couldn't have anywhere else is RUMPUS. During RUMPUS, the whole school community gets brought together, and it shows how competitive and dedicated we are as students.
What are some of the ways you've grown since you first came to Darlington?
Since pre-K, I have grown socially by making new friends and being more outgoing towards other people.
What is your dream job?
CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist)
