Outstanding athletes in varsity basketball, swim/dive and wrestling were recognized at the Winter Sports Assembly on Monday, March 2, in Morris Chapel.
Girls' Basketball:
Senior Sidney Rush of Rome, Ga., received the Most Valuable Performer Award.
Freshman Georgia Dunagan of Rome, Ga., and sophomore Elle Howren of Cartersville, Ga., received Pillar Awards.
Junior Sara Jo Pierce of Lindale, Ga. received the Academic Award.
Boys' Basketball:
Seniors Brent Bell of Rome, Ga., Cam Selig of Halifax, Novia Scotia, and Christian Teasley of Cartersville, Ga., received Pillar Awards.
The Academic Award winner will be announced at the team banquet.
Girls' Swim/Dive:
Sophomore Ivey Dunn of Rome, Ga., received the Most Valuable Performer Award.
Freshman Olivia Crane of Rome, Ga., received the Pillar Award.
Sophomore Monica Park of Seoul, South Korea, received the Academic Award.
Boys' Swim/Dive:
Senior Sammy Lewis of Nassau, Bahamas, received the Most Valuable Performer Award and the Pillar Award.
Juniors Eli Cheng of Wuhan, China, as well as Josiah Powers and Banks Brown, both of Rome, Ga., received Most Valuable Performer Awards.
Junior Will Bowerman of Rome, Ga., received the Academic Award.
Wrestling:
Freshman Jesse Price of Sliver Creek, Ga., received the Most Valuable Performer Award.
Junior Colten Momon of Rome, Ga., received the Pillar Award.
Freshman Nicolas Brust of Nauheim, Germany, received the Academic Award.
