A Darlington student is made up of many things. None of which is average. We help our students develop their interests, passions and pursuits, because we believe every individual has something to contribute. We also believe that only when you're 100% you, are you 100% Darlington.
Here at Darlington, every student’s path is different. We think that's a good thing.
Let’s get to know Alli Robinson, a 14-year day student from Rome who loves writing and theater.
When you think of Darlington, what three words come to mind first?
Exploration, roller coaster, adventure

"Sharks” by Imagine Dragons
What's your favorite show to binge watch?
“Outlander” or “The Witcher”
What's your favorite restaurant in Rome?
Chili's
What house are you a member of?
Cooper
What are you involved in?
The Darlington Players and Student Activities Committee
If you are involved in fine arts, what is your favorite activity and why?
I love theater because it's a chance to explore different sides of you that you didn't even know you had in you and then to step into those new sides and give into it 100%. It’s really not the actor on stage; it's a character that's presenting themselves through you and, in turn, you learn more about yourself and the people around you.
What's your favorite place on campus and why?
The Library - it's always peaceful (for the most part, when the Student Center isn't closed) and it's always a great place to get work done.
Who's your favorite teacher and why?
Mr. Allen because he's so straightforward with how he teaches. He's not just a great teacher, but he's a great person and a fantastic actor. I love the way he teaches, and I'm glad to be learning Psychology from him.
What’s your favorite thing about Darlington?
The campus - it's beautiful and I love how spread out everything is, so you don't feel trapped in one building all day. I definitely take its beauty for granted, but I'll be excited to see it again once I've been away for a few years.
Describe an experience that you've had at Darlington that you couldn't have had anywhere else.
The opportunity to meet and become friends with people from different countries that I would've never met any other way. I now have friends from Finland, The Bahamas, and other countries that I hope to stay in connection with in the future.
What are some of the ways you've grown since you first came to Darlington?
I've learned to not put all my eggs in one basket, and I've grown in a sense of becoming independent and strong in my self-worth.
What is your dream job?
Published author and a post-secondary professor in English literature and creative writing
