Let’s get to know Charlie Patel, a 14-year day student from Rome who serves on the Student Council and has helped revitalize Darlington’s Servant Leadership Program through his Senior Ventures project.
When you think of Darlington, what three words come to mind first?
Community, scholarship, responsibility
What's your favorite show to binge watch?
“Breaking Bad”
What's your favorite restaurant in Rome?
Antigua
What house are you a member of?

What are you involved in?
Soccer, Student Council, “Y” Cabinet, Servant Leadership Committee, yearbook, Tiger Tutors
If you play sports, who is your favorite coach and why?
Coach Levesque was a very funny and well-mannered man who knew about the sport and knew how to coach a team and make it fun.
If you are involved in fine arts, what is your favorite activity and why?
My favorite yearbook activity is photo selecting for the spreads as the pictures are very cool and the storytelling opportunities are unlimited.
What's your favorite place on campus and why?
My favorite place on campus is the MAC Student Center as it is a place where everyone comes together and interacts with each other.
Who's your favorite teacher and why?
Ms. Shores, Mr. Hudson, Mr. Bourg, because they know how to teach and they also make the class fun.
What’s your favorite thing about Darlington?
The amount of free time that we as students get. I think that this prepares us for life and gets us used to time management early.
Describe an experience that you've had at Darlington that you couldn't have had anywhere else.
During RUMPUS, being able to be a part of a house and a team felt like being in a big family. The passion was immaculate and everyone played their part perfectly in order to give our house the best shot at winning.
What are some of the ways you've grown since you first came to Darlington?
I have learned to manage my time and responsibilities very well with all the activities that I am a part of. Being able to focus on many things at once and be decisive when it comes to completing certain things first has been an amazing skill I have developed here.
What is your dream job?
My dream job is to be a corporate CEO.
