Let’s get to know Anna Nguyen, a three-year boarding student from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, whose Senior Ventures project involves using robotics outreach, coding workshops, and STEM demonstrations to inspire and equip the next generation of problem-solvers.

What house are you a member of?
Cooper
What are you involved in?
Robotics, Cooper dorm leader, president of the Honor Council, golf and lacrosse
If you play sports, who is your favorite coach and why?
Coach Bruce because it's fun playing golf with him.
What's your favorite place on campus and why?
The Orr Trail because it's pretty in the fall and very peaceful to take a walk.
Who's your favorite teacher and why?
Mr. Kinney because he's very passionate in his teaching and his Zoology class introduces me to lots of fascinating knowledge.
What’s your favorite thing about Darlington?
The community here as everyone is supportive of each other and we share a close bond, especially in the dorm.
Describe an experience that you've had at Darlington that you couldn't have had anywhere else.
Living in a dorm with people coming from around the world.
What are some of the ways you've grown since you first came to Darlington?
I have learned to communicate my needs and boundaries better from living with other girls and also to put myself in uncomfortable positions to try out new experiences.
What is your dream job?
A wildlife biologist doing field research.
