Let’s get to know Amelia Deupree, a three-year boarding student from Atlanta who loves singing and theater.
When you think of Darlington, what three words come to mind first?
Wisdom, knowledge, service
What's your favorite show to binge watch?
My favorite show to binge watch is “Gilmore Girls” with my mom.
What's your favorite restaurant in Rome?
My favorite restaurant is Aventine.
What house are you a member of?
I am in Thornwood House.
What are you involved in?
President of Tomes Book Club, social media manager of Green Team, varsity cross country, National Thespian Society, GSA, Darlington Concert Choir, Darlingtones a cappella group
If you play sports, who is your favorite coach and why?
My favorite coach is Coach Perkins. She is determined and helps balance your body workout wise when it comes to cross country. She shows support and will always be the biggest cheerleader.
If you are involved in fine arts, what is your favorite activity and why?
My favorite activity is theater. I truly love to perform and dance on stage. My favorite role was as a narrator in “Chicago.” I work with such amazing people.
What are some of the ways you've grown since you first came to Darlington?
I have gained confidence in myself. I’ve learned to be proud of what I do and that my voice matters and my voice in the classroom is important.
What is your dream job?
I want to work with “Vogue.”
