Winners announced for 8th Annual Darlington School Technology Competition

November 20, 2024 | 89 views

Darlington students in grades 3-12 participated in Darlington's 8th Annual Technology Competition on Nov. 15, showcasing a wide variety of projects that highlighted their skills in animation, 3D design, video production, robotics, programming, and everything in between. A total of 85 students competed in 14 categories.

First-place winners from each category will advance to the Northwest Georgia Regional Tech Competition on Jan. 31, with region winners moving on to the Georgia Technology Competition in March.

"I couldn't be prouder of all the students who competed in this year's Darlington Technology Competition," said Technology Integration Coordinator Leah Lynn. "With 85 participants showcasing such incredible creativity and hard work, it’s truly inspiring to see their dedication. Darlington encourages students to take risks and try new things, and this competition is a perfect example of that. Presenting a project and explaining it to a judge takes courage, whether you're in third grade or 12th grade, and our students rose to the challenge beautifully. I’m proud of each and every one of them for their efforts and achievements."
