Welcome to Episode 171 of The Darlington Podcast! 

In this episode, Director of IT Derek Fine talks with kindergarten teacher Jody Deaton, fourth-grade teacher Dr. Michael Natarella, middle grades math teacher Chris Eberhart and Upper School English teacher Mallory Collier about Darlington’s recent distinction as a four-time Apple Distinguished School and how we inspire, imagine, and create a lasting impact on our students using technology. 

Derek Fine joined Darlington in 2015 and now serves as director of information technology. He holds a B.A. in Business and Marketing from Clayton State University and a M.S. in Information Technology from Kennesaw State University.

Jody Deaton has taught at Darlington since 2005 and has nearly 30 years of experience in education. She holds a B.S.Ed. from the University of Georgia and an M.Ed. from Berry College. 

Michael Natarella has taught at Darlington since the fall of 2020 and serves as a fourth-grade teacher. He holds a B.S. in Social Studies Education from The University of Missouri - Columbia as well as an M.A. in Elementary Education, an M.A. in Education Administration, and a Ph.D. in Education Administration from The University of Alabama.

Chris Eberhart has taught math at Darlington since 2012 and was named director of student activities for the Pre-K to 8 division in 2015. He also coaches middle school baseball and volleyball. Chris has a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Florida Atlantic University and an M.B.A. from Berry College. 

Mallory Collier has taught Upper School English since 2022 and serve as head girls' lacrosse coach. She holds a B.A. in English from Berry College and an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University.
