Welcome to Episode 153 of The Darlington Podcast!
In this episode, Director of Pre-K to 8 Hope Jones talks with sixth-grader Finley Laliberte, seventh-grader Walker Kines and eighth-grader Sterling Pollard about their week-long grade-level trips in February. Sixth-graders visited sites in south Georgia and Florida; seventh-graders took part in a living history tour, visiting several locations in North Carolina and Virginia; and eighth-graders took a tour of Georgia. The students share their favorite moments and excursions, while making connections between their experiences and Darlington's curriculum.
Hope Jones has served as director of Pre-K to 8 since 2014. Hope holds a B.A. in Elementary Education and English from the University of Alabama – Huntsville as well as an M.A. in Middle Level Curriculum and Instruction from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va.
