A Darlington student is made up of many things. None of which is average. We help our students develop their interests, passions and pursuits, because we believe every individual has something to contribute. We also believe that only when you're 100% you, are you 100% Darlington. 

Here at Darlington, every student’s path is different. We think that's a good thing. 

Let’s get to know Kathryn Wilson, a three-year day student from Rome who has been in six shows with The Darlington Players, including “Chicago: Teen Edition” in February.             
                
When you think of Darlington, what three words come to mind first?    
Community, growth, opportunity

What song reminds you of high school?     
“The Middle” - Jimmy Eat World    

What's your favorite show to binge watch?     
“Gilmore Girls”

What's your favorite restaurant in Rome?     
Bella Roma

What house are you a member of?     
Cooper House

What are you involved in at Darlington?
The Darlington Players, president of Student Arts Council, Nature Nuts camp counselor, graphic design editor for Jabberwokk yearbook and Inkslinger literary magazine (2022-23), director and stage manager for lower school shows and summer Musical Theater Camp shows, Darlingtones female a cappella group, Tiger Tutor    

If you are involved in fine arts, what is your favorite activity and why?
The Darlington Players because I have been involved in six shows with the company and I have had a great experience making new friends and memories.    

What's your favorite place on campus and why?    
I always love walking around the lake during Nature Nuts. It's very pretty and relaxing.     

Who's your favorite teacher? 
Mr. Hudson, Mr. Inman, Mr. Evans, Mr. Hamil, Ms. Haynes, Ms. Hadaway     

What’s your favorite thing about Darlington?    
I love how kind, helpful, and open everyone in the community is.     

Describe an experience that you've had at Darlington that you couldn't have had anywhere else.     
I have been able to have many leadership positions that have allowed me to gain skills and confidence.    

What are some of the ways you've grown since you first came to Darlington?    
I've grown in confidence, both with leadership and performance. 

What is your dream job?    
Architect
