Welcome to Episode 100 of The Darlington Podcast! 

In this episode, Chief Advancement Officer Julie Lucas ('97) talks with fellow boarding alumni Scott Dozier ('73), Calista (Harden) Smith ('95, LD '18), Kristen Rachels ('05, LD '16) and Smith Wheeler ('19) in celebration of this year's 100th anniversary of boarding at Darlington School. Darlington welcomed its first group of 30 boarding students in 1923, and today, 100 years later, the school is home to 200 boarding students representing 25 states and 30 countries. 

Julie Lucas joined Darlington's Advancement Office in 2007 and was named chief advancement officer in 2016. Previously, she has served as director of development, director of giving programs and campaign director for Darlington's Second Century Campaign. Julie holds a B.A. in Communication from Loyola University New Orleans. 

Scott Dozier was a three-year boarding student from Ocala, Fla. He joined Darlington's Board of Trustees in 2014 and currently serves as the board's chairman. Scott lives in Atlanta, where he serves as a wealth management advisor at Merrill Lynch. 

Calista (Harden) Smith was a four-year boarding student from Dayton, Ohio. She currently lives in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she is the president of Scale Strategic Solutions, a consulting firm for the education and public health sectors. 

Kristen Rachels was a four-year boarding student from Memphis, Tenn. She lives in Atlanta and serves as the chief marketing officer for Itential, an automation software company. 

Smith Wheeler was a four-year boarding student from Fayetteville, N.C. He is currently a senior at the College of Charleston, pursuing a degree in finance. After graduation, Smith plans to move to Atlanta, where he will work in the financial industry.
