Welcome to Episode 78 of The Darlington Podcast!  

In this episode, third-grade teacher Steve McConnell talks with Pre-K to 8 students Addie Greene ('31), Hudson Lucas ('31), Finley Pilgrim ('27) and Loxley Pilgrim ('30) about their recent accomplishments in extracurricular sports outside of Darlington. McConnell is an avid sports fan, and his guests enjoy talking with their former teacher about all things baseball and softball.

Steve McConnell has taught third grade at Darlington since 2010. He is an assistant coach for the varsity girls' basketball team and also works with the middle school girls' basketball team. McConnell holds a B.A. in English from Appalachian State University, and an M.Ed. from the University of South Carolina. He has almost 30 years of experience as a teacher, administrator, and coach in independent schools. For his work at Darlington, McConnell has been recognized with the Brown Faculty Award and two Excellence in Teaching Awards.
