Custom Art by Darlington Art Teacher Jenifer Thoem
Adorn your wall with an awe-inspiring sculpture—a flock of hand-built ceramic birds with uniquely textured surfaces. Each is shaped from highfire stoneware clay, finished using stains and underglazes, and kiln fired multiple times. Textures are created by the artist using stamps made from the soles of her children's shoes. This package includes: 25 handmade ceramic birds, a consult and custom design for your home, piece installed by the artist.
A native Roman, Jenifer holds a BFA in Ceramics from Georgia Southern University, and has taught Art in public and private institutions in Atlanta, Ga.; Richmond, Va.; and Chicago, Ill. Jenifer teaches Pre-K to first grade Art and 6-8 Visual and 3-D Arts at Darlington School.
