Over the past year, the Darlington Connects program has been successful in providing the Darlington Community with career advice, internships, networking, lifelong learning opportunities, celebrating career successes, promoting small businesses, and much more. What started out as a program solely for our alumni quickly expanded to include Darlington’s current students, alumni, parents, parents of alumni, grandparents, and friends of the school. Over the next few weeks, we will highlight the successes of the program from the past year, and we’ll also share the plans to grow the program with 8 Ways to get involved in Darlington Connects.
Share career updates: Share your updated information for the online Alumni Directory. This is a great tool to use when looking to connect with others in certain career fields or geographic locations.
Join us on Linkedin: The Darlington Connects Linkedin group provides a platform for members to connect by asking for career advice, advertise job openings, search for career opportunities, celebrate success, network with members of the Darlington Community, and more!

Mentor or be a mentee:
Mentor: Serve as a mentor to provide one-on-one opportunities to share career-related or college-related advice.
Mentee: Be connected with mentors in your interested field to receive advice in resume writing, interviewing, internships, career fields, job search, and networking.
Engage with current students: Serve as a resource for our students to learn about career fields that they are learning about or interested in pursuing during, and after, their journey at Darlington. There are multiple in-person and remote opportunities throughout the school year to participate including speaking to a class, being a resource for a student group/organization, being a career day speaker, to name a few.
Participate in a campaign: Participate in a social media campaign that highlights career fields, hobbies, and interests. Keep an eye on your email and Darlington Connects social media for all calls to participate.
Share on our blog: Share the details of your career path and advice for current students and alumni through a Darlington Connects blog.
Attend an event: We look forward to hosting Darlington Connects Lunch & Learns, panels, and networking events!
