Welcome to Episode 13 of The Darlington Podcast!

In this episode, Stefan Eady, assistant head of school for academic affairs, talks with Fine Arts Director Kim Tunnell and learning specialists Molly Jordan and Jennifer Luitwieler. They take a closer look into how the arts are integrated into Darlington's curriculum and what that looks like for students of all ages. 

Explore Darlington and see how the arts, technology, community involvement, and athletics are woven into the student experience. 

Kim has been a member of Darlington’s fine arts faculty since 2001 and has over two decades of experience in the classroom. She taught music and chorus classes in the lower and middle grades before being named director of fine arts in 2009. She holds a B.M. and B.M.E. from Shorter College and an M.M.E. from the State University of West Georgia. She and her husband, Mark, associate director of admission, are the parents of Jack (’15), Hillary (’18) and Sarah (’22).

Molly has taught second grade at Darlington since 2016 and will serve as learning specialist in the learning center for the upcoming school year. She holds a B.A. in Communication from Auburn University, an M.Ed. from Jacksonville State University, and an Ed.S. in Curriculum and Instruction from Lincoln Memorial University. Molly taught in the Polk School District for 13 years, the last 11 of which were as a second-grade teacher. She is the mother of Neelley ('29), Caroline ('25), and Stuart ('31).

Jennifer has been at Darlington since 2017 where she has served as a learning specialist in the learning center. She has also taught middle school English and will be teaching Upper School English for the upcoming school year. She also serves as assistant coach for the girls' lacrosse team. Jennifer and her husband Kurt, Upper School math teacher, are the parents of Abigail, Bronwyn ('18), and Elliot ('22).
