Darlington loves our volunteers! It takes so many parents, alumni, grandparents, and more to make everything happen at Darlington. We especially love when one our top volunteers thanks another volunteer. Enjoy reading this note from Leigh Ann Lundy about the volunteer leadership with the Used Uniform Sale:
What do you think of when you hear “Tiger Pride Used Uniform Sale”? Most of us probably think about a new school year, purchasing new uniforms, and trying to get mounds of uniforms that no longer fit out of our possession. We, as Tiger Pride, think of Christi Cates and Scarlet Roberts!
Christi has been the “go to” person for the Used Uniform Sale for more than 10 years and Scarlet has been right by her side most of the way. This year, however, was the last time that Christi will be the “go to” person for the sale. Her son, Cooper Cates, (‘21) will be graduating this spring and Christi will be moving on to volunteer her time elsewhere. Christi has given of her time and expertise to make the Tiger Pride Used Uniform Sale the huge success that it is.
Christi, we will miss you and all the joy that you bring to this Darlington event. Thank you for the countless hours turned into years that you have committed to this endeavor. We appreciate you more than we can say! Scarlet, you had an excellent partner and teacher. Now, we look to you. Thank you!
