Oversee and maintain Darlington’s donor database system, Raiser’s Edge, to serve the current and future needs of the school.
Utilize the donor database and reporting tools to support fundraising efforts. Identify donor trends and identify prospects through data analysis.
Produce targeted mailing lists for appeals, communications, invitations, etc. Produce phonathon cards for staff and volunteers.
Build and run complex Raiser’s Edge queries, mailing lists, exports, and reports to support fundraising efforts.
Develop and implement data oversight functions and train staff to ensure that a high standard of ‘clean’ data is maintained.
Responsible for all gift and pledge processing and acknowledgement, including matching gifts, gifts-in-kind, and stock gifts. Produce outstanding pledge reminders quarterly, or as needed for the Darlington fund and Capital/Endowment gifts.
Conduct a monthly reconciliation with the Business Office for all cash gifts.
Work with the auditors on an annual basis, providing backup and documentation for all cash gifts and pledges.
Coordinate with the IT department to troubleshoot RE issues and upgrades. Participate in ongoing efforts to upgrade Raiser’s Edge.
Actively participate with other Advancement and Alumni Relations team members at special events, including Alumni Weekend.
Regularly produce reports for various constituents, including weekly Darlington Fund updates and campaign progress reports. Produce annual VSE and NAIS reports.
Work closely with team members to maintain current alumni information, class notes, death notices, career information, marriages, births, etc.
Work closely with the admissions team to integrate new students and parents from Education Edge into Raiser’s Edge.
Produce the annual Honor Roll of Donors and submit to Communications for publication.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Minimum of 3 years of database management experience. Proficiency with Raiser’ Edge a plus.
Understanding of fundraising principles, including Annual and Capital campaign gifts.
Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work with deadlines.
Possess strong problem-solving and collaboration skills and demonstrate initiative.
Fluency in MS Office suite and Google apps.
Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with a broad range of internal and external constituents.
Must maintain discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
Must be able to work weekends or nights for special events, as well as help set up and tear down for the events.
