Guest author and illustrator Nathan Hale will visit Darlington’s Pre-K to 8 division Jan. 15.
Hale is the author and illustrator of the Eisner-nominated, New York Times bestselling graphic novel series on American history, “Nathan Hale's Hazardous Tales.” This series focuses on U.S. history with a wit and flair aimed at engaging kids in wonderful little vignettes of the past.
“I am really excited to have Nathan Hale visiting our school,” said Kaitlin Ward, Pre-K to 8 librarian. “The illustrations in his ‘Nathan Hale's Hazardous Tales’ are amazing and really make the story come alive. The students love them, especially the boys. History can be a boring subject, but Mr. Hale makes it funny, but educational.”
Hale is also the illustrator of a number of graphic novels including “Rapunzel's Revenge” and its sequel, “Calamity Jack”. He also illustrated “Frankenstein: A Monstrous Parody” and “The Dinosaurs' Night Before Christmas.”
