Nine Tigers have been honored with spots on the 6A All Region Team in football for both offense and defense and eight were listed as honorable mention players. Tate Ratledge (‘20) received the honor of Lineman of the Year.
For offense:
The following Darlington students were recognized: running back Kolin Rogers (‘20), tight end Tommy Atha (‘19), wide receiver Casey Gunn (‘21), offensive lineman Tyson Dougherty (‘20), and running back Demetrius Rogers (‘21).
For defense:
The following Darlington students were recognized: defensive lineman Cade Brock (‘20), defensive back Roth Wilcox (‘19), linebacker Rhett McDurmon (‘19), and defensive end Tate Ratledge (‘20).
Honorable Mention:
The following Darlington students were recognized: linebacker Cam Watson (‘19), linebacker Dawson Williams (‘19), offensive lineman Ted Gardner (‘19), offensive lineman Collin Zazzaro (‘19), quarterback Frank Manning (‘20), placekicker Alex Liddle (‘20), defensive back Kobe Nadu (‘20), and wide receiver Barrick Wade (‘19).
“We are very proud of these young men and how they are representing us on the All Region team,” stated Assistant Athletic Director and head football coach Tommy Atha. “They are all leaders on and off the field and have been committed to the success of our team this year. Each player was selected by votes from all of the coaches in our region. Each head coach nominated players from every team that he thought were the best at each position and it was especially pleasing to see how many of our players were selected by the other coaches.”
