Volunteer Spotlight is an ongoing blog series that features interviews with a variety of Darlington alumni, parents, and friends about their careers, the impact their Darlington experience had on their lives, and how and why they serve the school as a volunteer. I am excited to share this Q&A with current parent Danielle Stitt.
Danielle and Jonathan were married at Darlington Chapel in 2009. Jonathan (00’) attended Georgia Aviation and West GA; he is currently a pilot for Endeavor. Danielle has worked in property management for 14 years and is the property manager at The Riverpoint Luxury Apartment Homes here in Rome. Their son, Wesley (‘30), has been attending Darlington since pre-K, and their son, Sam, will be a Darlington Tiger in a couple of years. Wesley has a passion for learning and loves to read. According to Danielle, Sam is a super hero fanatic and has the world's largest imagination.

Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Paulding County and had no idea Darlington existed until I met my husband, Jonathan, who graduated from Darlington as a day student in the Class of 2000. We were married at Darlington's Morris Chapel. I fell in love with the campus that day!
What ways have you volunteered for Darlington?
I love to volunteer in the classroom – that is my favorite. Wesley's face lights up every time he sees me there to help! This year, I volunteered for the Parents for Purple campaign to help support The Darlington Fund. I enjoyed doing this because I got to meet so many other parents, all of whom are very passionate for purple.
What do you enjoy most about volunteering for Darlington?
Volunteering at Darlington brings me great pride. I enjoy the fellowship of the other parents who are there with the same intent, to make Darlington an amazing experience for our children!
