“This is such a great way for members of our community to do some holiday shopping and get in the Christmas spirit, all while supporting our school,” said Angela Pieroni, assistant director of Darlington's ELA-8 division. "There was a wonderful response last year, and we look forward to continuing this new tradition."
The following activities will take place at Barnes & Noble in conjunction with the fair:
Friday, Dec. 11
4:00 p.m. - Story time with ELA-8 librarian Kaitlin Ward
4:30 p.m. - Tech showcase with Technology Integration Specialist Beth Wardlaw
5:00 p.m. - Story time and art project featuring Christmas in Georgia with first grade teaching assistant Virginia (Johnson) Guth ('79)
5:30 p.m. - Upper School instrumental and vocal performances with Director of Instrumental Music Will Camp
6:30 p.m. - Story time with ELA-8 Director Hope Jones
Saturday, Dec. 12
10:00 a.m. - Darlington carolers
10:30 a.m. - Picture and project with Darlington Tiger and varsity cheerleaders
11:00 a.m. - Story time and art activity with pre-K teacher Beth (Bagby) Smith ('87)
11:30 a.m. - Kindergarten singing selections from "The Littlest Christmas Tree" with teacher Jody Deaton
12:30 p.m. - MYSTERY GUEST storyteller
1:00 p.m. - Science demonstration with teacher Justin Merriam
2:00 p.m. - Upper School DarBots demonstration with science department Chairman Owen Kinney
3:00 p.m. - Snowflake activity with Upper School art teacher Kathy O'Mara
