Tech Talk: Using iMovie & Screen Recording

Classes can utilize 21st Century skills to create informative documentaries. For example, the 7th grade Life Science classes have produced iMovie documentaries on cells.

Students were first introduced to the topic while reading from the DarSEI (Darlington Science E-textbook Initiative) Life Science Virtual Textbook. Students then searched for pictures and information on organelles and cell parts of animals. This information was then placed into the iMovie format, where students recorded their voices describing the function of the organelles and cell parts.

This video shows some of the steps that were taken to create the project. Screen Recording and iMovie were used in the making of this video.
