Black Uniform Jacket Reorder – We Need 25 to Make It Happen!

Grades > Pre-K to 8

We’ve had several requests about ordering the black uniform jackets again. Before we move forward, we’d like to get an idea of how many people would be interested if we opened another order.

The company requires a minimum number of jackets to be ordered before they can process a new batch, so we’re gathering interest first.

If you’d like a jacket (or an additional one), please reach out to Wendy Payne wpayne@darlingtonschool.org by Wednesday, Nov. 19 with sizing, so we can determine if we meet the minimum to place another group order.

The Food Drive Was A Huge Success!

Grades > Pre-K to 8

The 3rd-8th grade service committee wants to thank all of the teachers, advisors, and students who brought in food, helped to count and sort all of the food items. We have shown a heart of service and helped many children in need. In true Tiger fashion, we exceeded our goal and brought in a grand total of 5,151 items! Thank you!

9th Grade "Y" Cabinet Elections

Grades > 9-12

To Parents of 9th Graders,

I wanted to make you aware of a leadership opportunity that is coming up specifically for 9th-grade students. “Y” Cabinet elections for four 9th-grade representatives will be held on Monday, November 17. There are a few important steps your student must complete in order to place their name on the ballot.

To run for election, students must:

  1. Complete a questionnaire via Google Forms. The link to the form was emailed to them from tinman@darlingtonschool.org on November 10, 2025.

  2. See Mrs. Cornwell in the Student Center after submitting the Google Form to receive a paper form for collecting signatures from their 9th-grade classmates in support of their candidacy.

  3. Return the completed signature form (with 20 signatures) to Mrs. Cornwell by Friday, November 14, 2025, no later than the end of office hours (10:25 a.m.).

More detailed information can be found in the email sent to them and within the questionnaire itself. Please encourage your student to reach out to our President, Gracie Cowan, Vice President, Henry Ledbetter, or Tara Inman, Dean of Community Life with any questions.

Duck, Duck, Goose Reading Challenge Pre-K to 2

Grades > Pre-K to 8

Ready to get “goosed”?

The Library is launching a fun new reading challenge for our Pre-K– to 2 students: Duck, Duck, Goose!

Just fill in a duck for every book read — that includes books read to students at home or in class! When a student has read 15 books, they’ll earn a special prize: their very own rubber ducky! Students can even complete the challenge more than once to earn multiple ducks. If 10 or more students in a class finish the challenge, their teacher will win a special Goose Trophy!

This program will run through December 12. If you have any questions, please feel free to email Mary Kate Fowee at mfowee@darlingtonschool.org.

Thank you for your support & Happy Reading!
