The Student Council acts as a group of representatives to the administration to help make Darlington a better place for students.
BSU is dedicated to unifying and empowering black people on and off campus by creating meaningful connections, providing a safe platform, and celebrating black history and culture.
The Student-led Honor Council increases students’ understanding of the Honor Code and preserves its integrity by giving justice to any student under suspicion of dishonesty.
The Community Service Committee identifies, creates and organizes service opportunities at Darlington and in the Rome community.
The Discipline Committee promotes a sense of responsibility to the school community. Counseling and guidance for each student appearing before the committee is a very important role played by its members.
The Spiritual Life Committee assists with planning and running chapel services each week and helps facilitate a weekly inter-faith discussion group.
Each of Darlington’s six residential houses has five or more student leadership positions, such as head prefect, academic liaison, house manager and international liaison, to name a few. This allows students the opportunity to play an active role in both their residence hall and in the culture of the school.
The “Y” Cabinet is a religious life organization that affords a means of expression and opportunity for service for those who desire to lead an active religious life.
