Jessica Laliberte has served as director of the Teaching and Learning Center since 2022. She holds a B.A. in English Teaching from the University of New Hampshire and an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Lesley University, and is also trained in two structured literacy programs – Wilson Language and Orton-Gillingham. Her formal training also includes the American Montessori Lifetime Credential, an MBA-Level Marketing Strategy Certificate from Cornell University, and Doctorate-level coursework in curriculum and instruction from American College of Education. Jess has more than two decades of experience in education, serving elementary, middle, and high school students throughout the course of her career. Prior to Darlington, she served as head of the academic learning support department at Christ the King Catholic School in Daphne, Ala., and as an independent educational consultant and instructional coach. In 2016, she earned the Patten Award at Saint Andrew’s School in Boca Raton, Fla., for her work championing and strengthening balanced literacy for the middle school program, and in 2018, she earned the Dena and Daniel Man Janusz Korczak Faculty Award for giving, caring, and devoted teaching and compassion for students. Jess and her husband, Matthew, are the parents of Brecken (’25), Cooper (’27), and Finley (’30).
