Andrew Beckman has taught science in the middle grades since 2017. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry from The University of Alabama, where he most recently served as a chemistry tutor and lab researcher. A Presidential Scholar at Alabama, Beckman loves working with young people. During college, he tutored Spanish-speaking children in English-speaking skills and mentored a middle school student on topics like work ethic, study habits, and academic goal setting. He also spent two summers working at the university’s cross country camp.

FIRST Lego League Team Wins Design Award

January 29, 2023
Darlington's FIRST Lego League (FLL) team (grades 6-8) competed against the top 24 teams in the TN/GA Region at the FLL Championship Event in Chattanooga, Tn. At the closing ceremonies they received the Champion's Design Award for their competition robot. The award recognizes a single team with the most outstanding programming and engineering practices.
