Crystal Cleveland

Former Faculty

Crystal joined the world languages faculty in 2012 and was named department chair in 2016. She holds a B.A. in Spanish Education from Campbell University and an M.A. in Latin American Studies from Indiana University. Crystal also has a certificate from the University Honors Program in Foreign Languages in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. She and her husband, Joseph, live on campus with their daughter, Charlotte.

Cleveland shares interdisciplinary, cross-divisional lesson on national stage

Upper School Spanish teacher Crystal Cleveland recently presented on how to create an interdisciplinary experiential learning unit at ACTFL's Annual Convention and World Languages Expo in San Diego. The educator has successfully integrated art and history into her Spanish 4 class, enabling students to teach pre-kindergarteners about the prehistoric civilizations of modern-day Spain.
