Kelly has taught history and coached wrestling at Darlington since 2004. He is also an assistant cross country coach and has previously coached middle school football. Kelly holds a B.A. from Berry College. Before Darlington, he taught and coached at Rockmart High School, his alma mater. He has won individual and team state wrestling championships as an athlete and coach. Kelly and his wife, Heather, are the parents of Ansley (’12), Anne Marie (’15), Rhett (’19) and Carl Luke (’21).

Darlington’s varsity wrestling team finished strong in the GHSA Traditional State Championships which concluded on Saturday, Feb. 10 in Macon, Ga. with six athletes representing the school. The Tigers finished second in the Class A team standings with 113.5 points.
