Associate Director of Boarding Admissions

The ideal candidate has a passion for education, is an experienced project manager, and an excellent communicator.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish strong relationships with prospective families and students, educational consultants, as well as with the faculty and staff of Darlington School.
  • Manage the application process for prospective students who are candidates for the school by interviewing students, touring families, and supporting their admission process.
  • Represent Darlington School at events on and off campus.
  • Support other team members in event planning, onboarding, retention, and other team duties.

Successful candidates will:

  • Possess a Bachelors Degree
  • Possess the energy and inclination to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; a sense of humor; the ability to work collaboratively as well as independently, and the desire to take initiative in creating new ideas to enhance our work.
  • Be proactive, resourceful, and a creative problem solver.
  • Have the ability to be flexible and strategic.
  • Be an enthusiastic member of the broader school community.
  • Be a people person who is personally excited to interact with new people.
  • Serve as a role model for all students. 
  • The Associate Director of Admission will report to the Assistant Head of School for Enrollment Management.

Travel with and for the admissions office is an expected part of this work. This is a full-time, twelve-month position.  

Darlington seeks candidates who can contribute to the community through coaching and/or other school responsibilities.
