Soccer Academy Head U17 Boys Coach


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • College and/or Professional Playing Experience
  • National / International Coaching License(s)
  • Additional Consideration will be given to applicants with goalkeeper experience, video editing experience, student-athlete recruitment experience, language skills in Spanish or German, social media/marketing experience.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Director of the Soccer Academy and the Admissions office in the recruitment of prospective students, targeted for U16-17 age group.
  • Provide coaching in practice and competition to the team(s) appointed by the Director. Assist in the planning and execution of the daily training sessions for every specific U17 age group and Boys’ program as a whole. Monitor speed and strength training and utilize film analysis as a coaching and recruiting tool.Communicate with parents of U17 players as per their performance on and off the field, athletic testing, and send / share film with parents/players. 
  • Assist and educate Academy participants in the process of college recruiting. Provide assistance in developing player profiles, team profiles, and video highlights for the team and individual.   Develop individual criteria and guide each individual player through the college search and decision process.
  • Help in the scheduling and planning of events. Solidify travel plans, and specific arrangements when attending an event. Help coordinate college visits for program and groups of players.
  • Monitor and advise the academic, as well as social progress and well being of our student-athletes.
  • Perform tasks deemed necessary by the Director and assist in directing the total program.
  • Maintain appropriate working relationships with members of collaborative offices and the Darlington community at large.
  • Participate in the life of the school as expected of a Darlington faculty member.
